That is the number of tax cases heard by the High Court of Australia in 2023.
There are two loose exceptions.
The first relates to the now infamous attempt by the Victorian Government to impose taxes on electric cars, deemed unconstitutional in Vanderstock v Victoria.
The second relates to Commonwealth-State intergovernmental arrangements and the Constitution in Hornsby Shire Council v Commonwealth of Australia.
